Format Type: Magic the Gathering Sanctioned Modern Event

Entry Fee: $10.00

Length: 12 Weeks (Best 8 weeks count, 4 byes allowed). If you play less than 8

weeks that is fine, you just lessen odds of making the Top 8 Tournament. League matches will be played on Wednesdays at 6:30PM.

Season Start: Wednesday, July 14, 2021 at 6:30PM

Season Ends: Wednesday, September 29, 2021. 12 potential weeks to play in, you can miss up to 4 weeks. Best 8 weeks count toward final standings.

Standings: Will be updated weekly and posted on our website so everyone can view and see where you are.

Payout Structure: Prize support for 3 rounds is below and an additional $2.00 per person for each event towards the top 8 tournament prize pool. Credit only given to a 2-1 and better record.

3-0: $30

2-0-1: $20

2-1: $15

1-1-1: High Fives Only

Details: You can use different Modern legal decks each week, but must use same Modern legal deck for the duration of each event. Following the rules of the Modern format you can have up to a 15 card sideboard.

Number of Rounds: 3 rounds each event day

Match Record Point System

3-0-0 = 9 Points

2-0-1 = 7 Points

2-1-0 = 6 Points

1-0-2 = 5 Points

1-1-1 = 4 Points

1-2-0 = 3 Points

0-1-2= 2 Points

0-2-1 = 1 Point

0-3-0 = 0 Point

Attendance: 3 Points (Attendance points can only be used once a week and you cannot get more than 3 points each week for up to 8 weeks.)

End of Season Tournament Info

Tie Breakers:

The Tournament Tiebreakers will be determined by the following from league standings:

- Points

- Opponents Match Win %

- Game Win %

- Opponents Game Win %

End of Season Tournament: Wednesday, October 6, 2021 at 6:30PM

Details: You will be seeded based upon your season standings, with the better seed being on the play for each round of the Swiss pairings. If an odd number of people show up to the event the best seed overall will get the 1st round bye. It will be 3 rounds with a cut to a Top 4.

The Top 4 will be single elimination until a winner is determined. Please note that seating in the Top 4 will be based on your standing in the swiss rounds.

*Please note that if you make the top 8 and cannot attend and let us know prior so the next seeded person that would make the top 8 will move up and everyone will shift up to the spot that had to drop out. We always want 8 players in the end of season tournament.

Top 8 Tournament Payout Structure:

1st: 40%

2nd: 20%

3rd – 4th: 10%

5th – 8th: 5%
